Terms of use
The rules that apply when you read MaxedRig. Short, because the site does little more than publish articles.
1. Acceptance
By using MaxedRig you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use the site. We may change them; the date above tells you when they last changed, and continued use after a change means you accept the new version.
2. What this site is
An independent editorial site publishing reviews, guides, news and hardware recommendations about video games. It is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by any game publisher.
3. Our articles are opinion, not advice
Reviews and scores are editorial judgement, formed using the method described onHow we test. They are not financial advice, not professional advice, and not a guarantee of your own experience. Games change constantly: what was true on the date of an article may not be true today.
Hardware prices and availability change without notice. A price on this site is a figure recorded on a stated date, not an offer.
4. Acceptable use
You may read, link to, and quote this site with attribution. You may not:
- republish articles in full, on any medium, without written permission;
- scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for other readers;
- use the content to train a model or build a derivative product without permission;
- misrepresent the site, impersonate it, or use its name or logo to suggest an endorsement.
5. Intellectual property
Article text, the scoring system, the design and the MaxedRig name and logo belong to the publisher. See the legal notice for details.
Images are published under free licences and credited individually with their author and licence; those licences govern their reuse, not these terms. Game names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used descriptively.
6. Links to other sites
This site links to game publishers, stores and retailers. Some of those links earn us a commission — see the affiliate disclosure. We do not control those sites, their content, their prices or their privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them. Once you leave, their terms apply, not ours.
7. Availability
The site is provided as is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, nor that it will be free of errors. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time without notice.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site or from reliance on its content — including time spent on a game you did not enjoy, money spent in a game, or a purchase made through a link.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Consumers keep all mandatory rights granted by the law of their country of residence.
9. Privacy
How we handle personal data is covered by the privacy policy and thecookie policy, which form part of these terms.
10. Governing law
