Editorial policy

What we will and will not do, written down so you can hold us to it.

Independence

No publisher, advertiser or affiliate partner sees an article before it is published, or has any right to change it afterwards. We do not send drafts for approval, and we do not accept embargo terms that include editorial conditions.

Scores are decided before any commercial discussion. If a partnership ends, the review stays up unchanged.

Sourcing

  • Facts about a game come from the game, or from its publisher. Patch numbers, rates and dates are taken from official channels and linked.
  • Community figures are labelled as such. Soft-pity thresholds and drop rates that publishers do not disclose are widely measured by players; where we cite them, we say they are community estimates, not official figures.
  • We do not publish promotional codes we have not redeemed ourselves. A dead code wastes your time; a fake one can get an account flagged.
  • When we cannot verify something, we say so rather than rounding it into a confident sentence.

Artificial intelligence

This matters enough to be precise about, because the footer of this site makes a claim.

We use AI tools for structure, research assistance and drafting. We do not use them to invent experience. An AI cannot play a game for twenty hours, and no sentence that claims first-hand experience will be published unless a human has actually had it.

This is enforced mechanically, not by good intentions: an article cannot be marked ready for publication while any of its facts are still flagged as unverified. Every article currently online carries a visible notice listing exactly what remains to be checked.

Corrections

We correct on the page itself, dated, not silently. A correction that changes a score, a verdict or a factual claim is noted at the top of the article. Typos and broken links are fixed without a note.

If you think something here is wrong, tell us — ideally with the source that shows it.

Scores and re-testing

Live-service games change, so scores are not permanent. We re-test after any major season or balance patch that affects progression or monetisation, and the Updated date on each review tells you when that last happened. A score can go down.

The full scoring method is on How we test.

Images and third-party content

We do not republish publisher screenshots or key art. Articles are illustrated with photographs released under free licences, each credited with its author and licence. An image captioned Illustration does not depict the game.

Game names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used descriptively, to identify the subject of an article.

Separation of advertising and editorial

Advertising slots are labelled Advertisement and visually separated from article content. Links that earn us a commission are orange and carryrel="sponsored nofollow". We do not place paid links inside article text where they could be mistaken for editorial recommendations.
